Casement Windows

No obstructive railings, easy hand-crank open, and interior screens make these windows perfect for installation in virtually any area of the home.

A casement window is hinged at the side and opens outward like a door. It looks like a picture window because unlike double hung or sliding windows, a casement window has no rail. Some casement windows are simply pushed open, but most have a hand crank. Screens are placed on the inside of the window, where they're more protected from the elements. If you're installing windows over a sink, countertop or appliance, a casement window with a crank can be the perfect solution.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Wood clad is beautiful window Installed 3 years ago the windows are still beautiful. The service has been both effective and prompt. The fiberglas frames still look new and the protection from weather is still rock solid. The ability to get both the wood clad and color finished fiberglas interiors with the same exterior frame color was a key choosing both Milgard and our window style.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ease of use I would not recommend these windows to anyone with children or grandchildren. They do not come with a locking devise and I should have been advised of this before I ordered. If I had known this I would have chosen a safer series. For now I am using sticks.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A little disappointed Both of these windows had to be special ordered because of their size. Don't know if the guy from Bloedorn's miss measured or if they were not made to order but they were both an inch to short in width. And the one window was a twin casement & instead of opening in the center like all our others do, both windows open on the right. For the price we had to pay, I expected a better product

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing After 25 years of positive experience I have to say the current quality is subpar. My windows showed up with obvious bowing - a manufacturing defect that was taken care of within 90 days of install. The casement windows arrived with a mismatch of opening hardware and 9 months later I am still trying to get the mechanical parts replaced so they match.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Plastic when I thought it was metal Windows look great. The issue I have is that the locking mechanism for the casement is plastic. Two of these locks were broken when i opened the windows. Several have broken in the meantime. These locks need to secure the window and they're made of plastic! Not a good design. When I ordered I was told all the hardware was metal. Not the case.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect solution This was the best way to provide a great look, plenty of light, ease of operation and double as an upstairs fire escape. Strong, sturdy and very functional.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Review your options before you order I ordered casement windows from Window Depot through my installer. From reading the Milgard website it seemed that windows had 4" limiting devices for safety and security. When the windows arrived there were no limiting devices and there are no ways to limit the window opening so it is impossible to leave the casement open without the risk of someone entering the house through the window. Likewise the casement screens appear to have options that were never explained. I still don't know what screens I am getting as the screens did not come with the order. When installed the casement windows sag and will not close fully. I'm not sure if the sagging is a manufacturing problem or an installer problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has a great feature 2 locks on the window Had my window installed on Friday 3/3/17. My 3 installers were very professional and did their job excellent, with the window chalking was done to my satisfaction, I couldn't be more pleased with my new windows. I would recommend them to my friends and neighbors. In fact I'm going to have 3 more windows put in to match the new ones that I already had done. God Bless and have a nice day!!
